“The conditions were related to earth shifting that resulted in sliding and breaks in the homes’ foundations,” city officials said in a statement Saturday. A home on East Springtime Road in Utah’s Hidden Canyon Estates collapsed down a hillside Saturday night, months after the new homeowners were forced to evacuate — dashing their hopes of building a homestead there.The builder, Edge Homes, has been under fire for the construction gaffe and was forced to buy back the houses in January, with officials there saying they’re working with Draper to address the issue.
