The star freshman injured both of her ankles during the final tumbling pass of her floor routine vs. Iowa State.Immediately, she fell to the mat and grabbed her left ankle before being carried out by the Red Rock’s medical personnel.“Thank you to everyone for the incredible love and support over these last few days,” Neff wrote. “After sustaining a severe sprain in both ankles this weekend, I’m grateful to share that it’s nothing worse.

Neff was already beginning to establish herself as one of the best gymnasts on the Red Rocks. She took first on vault and beam against the Cyclones, scoring 9.9 and a career-high 9.925, respectively.“I’m confident the team will continue to perform strong in my absence,” Neff said.
