64 Utah firefighters will return home on Sunday after spending two weeks helping to combat the Los Angeles wildfires. A community welcome event is planned for four firefighters from the North Tooele Fire District as they pass through the county.
A group of 64 Utah firefighters will return home Sunday after spending two weeks in Southern California helping to combat the Los Angeles wildfires.
The North Tooele Fire District has invited the community to join them in welcoming back four firefighters from Engine 61 as they pass through the county. The event will take place at the Hardy Road overpass along Interstate 80 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. During their deployment, Utah Firefighters assisted with suppression efforts in areas like Malibu. “The damage was extensive, and it was sobering to see how it would affect the people’s lives in Malibu,” one West Jordan
