The Utah County Jail will be the setting for a reality television show that follows seven undercover inmates working to uncover illegal activity within the faci

The makers of "60 Days In" announced that Season 9 of the series will filmed at the Utah County Jail in Spanish Fork. With three decades of law enforcement experience, Sheriff Mike Smith will recruit seven individuals as undercover agents.Organizers said that Sheriff Mike and his recruits will be on a mission to expose an inflow of drugs, contraband, and gang activity so that issues can be pinpointed and doors opened to positive change for both inmates and staff.
Sheriff Smith has been running the facility since 2018 and is currently serving his second 4-year term as the Sheriff. As standard procedure, participants will be introduced to one another before going undercover so that once officially behind bars they can work together to carry out their mission.Previous seasons have showcased how difficult the prison experience can be for individuals. If a participant gives the established signal of distress, they will be pulled from the program.
