Utah Christians united to mark the start of Western Christianity’s holiest weekend of the year with a Good Friday procession through the heart of Salt Lake City. It marked the 40th anniversary of this pre-Easter staple.
The march is meant to symbolically retrace Jesus’ steps to Golgotha, with participants taking turns bearing the cross in a buildup to Easter Sunday.
