A 14-year-old was abducted in Magna on Monday and police believe she is in danger, according to an Amber Alert issued Tuesday morning.

The alert stated that Areli's life is in danger.A 14-year-old was abducted in Magna on Monday and police believe her life is in danger, according to anUnified police sent the alert just before 10:30 a.m. It indicated that the girl, Areli Arroyo Osuna, was kidnapped by a suspect identified as David Lopez.
Police initially reported around 6:40 p.m. Monday that Osuna, who they referred to as Areli Esmeralda Arroyo Asuna, had run away. At the time, theThe Amber Alert issued Tuesday referred to her disappearance as an “abduction.” It reiterated that she may be in a black Nissan Altima headed to Texas, adding that the suspect could also be taking her to Mexico.The suspect, who also goes by the name Amilsar Vasquez, is not related to Areli, according to the alert.
Those with information about Areli’s disappearance or current location may call 911 or contact the Unified Police Department at 385-468-9858. In Utah, Amber Alert’s are issued for children 17 or younger, when law enforcement believes a child has been abducted and when law enforcement believes the child faces “imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death,” according to a
