The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has announced a temporary suspension of all inbound packages from China and Hong Kong, citing President Trump's new tariffs and the 'de minimis' trade loophole. The suspension will affect packages only, with letters and large envelopes remaining unaffected. This move comes after President Trump's imposition of tariffs on goods from China, Mexico, and Canada. The USPS suspension is expected to impact cross-border e-commerce companies like Temu and Shein, which heavily rely on the USPS for deliveries. It remains unclear if the suspension extends to shipments via private carriers.
