The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a thief who robbed a mail carrier in the Panhandle area of San Francisco last week.
The carrier was robbed at about 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday in the area of Lyon and Hayes street, according to the USPIS. Authorities did not release what the thief managed to take from the carrier. The robber is depicted in surveillance video fleeing the area on an electric scooter. They were last seen wearing an orange jacket with a Golden State Warriors logo on the back and a patterned face mask.
The USPIS is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thief. Tipsters were asked to contact the inspection service at 1-877-876-2455.
