The United States men's gymnastics team pulled off a huge performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, securing a medal for the first time since 2008.
The United States is competing in a multitude of events at the Paris 2024 Olympics, but one of the most watched sports at the quadrennial Games is gymnastics. The USWNT is always one of the bigger focuses considering they are led by perennial gymnast Simone Biles. However, the USMNT has come alive and secured a medal for the first time since 2008.
The USMNT secured the bronze by a strong performance from Stephen Nedoroscik, who came in and secured a 14.866 score on the pommel horse, tying Japan's Takaaki Sugino. The leader of the apparatus was Great Britain's Max Whitlock, who secured 15.266.It has been a long road for the USMNT, as the gymnastics team has placed fifth in the previous three Summer Olympics, and even placed fifth in the qualifying event that took place on Saturday.
