GEORGE TOWN: Universiti Sains Malaysia has implemented 16 initiatives to safeguard the well-being and safety of its community members amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a memo posted on its Facebook page, USM vice-chancellor Prof Dr Faisal Rafiq Mahamd Adikan said the 16 initiatives include setting up a special crisis committee which meets weekly and RM350,000 allocation to deal with the pandemic.
"An additional allocation of RM350,000 has been readied in dealing with this issue," he said in a statement on Sunday . Meanwhile, all lectures at all USM campuses will also not be held on-site and instead will be replaced with online learning.
