The USC Trojans football team has been unable to change its accommodations for the Las Vegas Bowl due to an ongoing strike at Virgin Hotels. Despite the picket line, the team will remain at the hotel for the duration of their stay.

The USC Trojans football team has been unable to change its accommodations amid an ongoing strike at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, according to the university. Coaches and players have been staying at Virgin Hotels this week for the upcoming SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl , despite a picket line outside the property. In a statement, USC said staying there was the result of a Las Vegas Bowl decision from months ago.

USC asked bowl organizers for a change so the team wouldn't cross the union's picket line, but another hotel couldn't be found on short notice. 'USC greatly values its longstanding relationship with our labor partners,' the university said Friday. 'We hope that this matter does not distract from an event that our student-athletes have worked very hard to prepare for.' The Culinary Union launched a hospitality worker strike and round-the-clock picket last month, saying Virgin Hotels leadership refuses to offer raises comparable to those negotiated with other resorts. Virgin Hotels accused the union of bargaining in bad faith and said it cannot afford to provide the raises that workers are demanding. The Trojans will face the Texas A&M Aggies in the Las Vegas Bowl at Allegiant Stadium on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m
