A police department in Southern California is making headlines with the introduction of what they claim is the country’s first Tesla Cybertruck designated for police use.
The Cybertruck will primarily be used to enhance anti-drug events at schools through the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program. The department aims to grab the attention of students with the futuristic design of the Cybertruck. That vehicle has an estimated price tag of $116,000 and typically lasts three to four years. In contrast, the department plans to use the Cybertruck for about ten years.would save money over time. One significant advantage is that the vehicle is electric, eliminating the need for gasoline. The police department needed a new D.A.R.E. vehicle, making this a timely replacement.Despite its innovative design, the Cybertruck has had a tumultuous launch since Tesla started delivering it in November.
