Recent U.S. and allied drone and human exercises allegedly showed promise as part of Project Convergence Capstone 4.
The exercise was designed to test integration of drones into US and allied units to make them more lethal and efficient.Various United States armed forces recently conducted an “in-the-dirt” training exercise using drones and troops. Designed to make military units “more lethal and efficient,” the exercise was a useful testbed for future human and drone operations.
In this respect, the DoD explains that Layered Defense aims to test the sensor capabilities of unmanned drones and manned aircraft.“Layered defense means we will see different weapons against targets from the defended area,” said Air Force Major Morgan Huttes, the director of operations from the 134th Air Control Squadron. “This way, the coalition can increase the probability of killing while maximizing our weapons efficiency,” he added.
