Two-time women's football World Cup champion Megan Rapinoe has announced her retirement.
The 38-year-old said the current National Women's Soccer League season will be her last with a statement on social media. Posting a picture of her as a little girl, Rapinoe wrote:"I never could have imagined the ways in which soccer would shape & change my life forever, but by the look on this little girl's face, she knew all along."
