US Justice Department lawyers say releasing Massachusetts Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira as he awaits trial would be a grave threat to America's national security.

US federal prosecutors will urge a judge to keep behind bars a Massachusetts Air National Guardsman accused of leaking highly classified military documents, arguing he may still have access to secret national defence information he could expose.
