Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called for a regional agreement to settle the issue of passage through the Strait of Hormuz, but indicated that the US should have no role in determining the outcome of the settlement.
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that the US was guilty of firing on coastal targets but that such attacks would not deter the Iranian military from exerting control over the Strait.
