Uruguay’s soccer first and second divisions are in a halt for the weekend due to concerns over hospitalized defender Juan Izquierdo, who plays for local giant Nacional.
MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay —
Hospital Albert Einstein in Sao Paulo said in a statemement on Saturday that Izquierdo had suffered a cardiac arrest and had to go through “resuscitation maneuvers” after he was brought from the Morumbi Stadium.
