Daryl Stephens had been under investigation in Queensland following allegations made against him in 2022.
A number of conditions have been imposed on urologist Daryl Stephens after a ruling from Queensland's medical watchdog.A Queensland urologist who allegedly blew his nose on a surgical curtain has had a number of practice conditions imposed on him by the state's health regulator.
There were also conditions imposed regarding how he handled tissue samples and when to send them for testing.It is not known where he is based now.The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency shows the surgeon's registration began in 1974 and is current until September 2024.In 2022 it was alleged that Dr Stephens blew his nose on a surgical curtain while working at the Mackay Base Hospital.
Dr Stephens has not practised at the Mackay Base Hospital or the city's Mater Hospital since 2022, when he was suspended. "We are unable to comment further on this matter for legal and privacy reasons," the spokesperson said.fined $30,000 for misconduct
