Abner Uribe, relevista dominicano de los Cerveceros de Milwaukee, fue suspendido el miércoles seis partidos, mientras que su compatriota y compañero, el abridor Freddy Peralta, deberá purgar un castigo de cinco encuentros por los hechos que desataron una riña la víspera, en el juego ante los Rys de Tampa Bay. Otro dominicano, José Siri, fue suspendido originalmente tres juegos.
Las Grandes Ligas castigaron a Peralta por propinarle un pelotazo intencional a Siri. Murphy fue sancionado por los actos de Peralta y por una “conducta inapropiada hacia los umpires”. El castigo a Uribe se aplicó por causar un altercado en que se vaciaron las bancas. Siri recibió la sanción por participar en esa riña.
