TWO thousand seabirds have been found dead in an Aberdeenshire beach in less than a week in scenes one local described as “like a horror film”.
One local described the grim scene as “like living in a horror film” after council workers were spotted in full PPE picking up bag after bag of dead birds from Curden Bay beach on Tuesday. Last night, a spokesperson for Aberdeenshire Council said: “We have heard reports of people trying to assist in the clean-up by burying or binning bird carcasses, but please - for your own safety - leave the disposal to us.”
