Initiative Foods has recalled one lot of its Tippy Toes apple pear banana baby food because it has elevated levels of patulin, a mycotoxin that is produced by mold that can cause health problems.“Patulin is a naturally occurring substance which is produced by molds that may grow in various fruits, including apples.

The recalled fruit puree is packaged in 2-pound plastic tubs with lot number 07174, a best-by date of July 17, 2026, and the package code identifier, INIA0120.
