Urban Meyer praised Ohio State's roster, but he raised a question about how players can be kept happy if statistics are down during a weak early schedule.
Former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said the 2024 Buckeyes might have the best roster in the last decade of college football.“I’ve talked to Jim Tressel about this, I’ve read about them I’ve watched them,” Meyer said. “This might be the best roster in college football in the last decade – as far as NFL talent, as far as depth.
“Howard is going to be a big question mark, but I think the combination of him and Chip Kelly, the new offensive coordinator – they’re married for each other,” Meyer said. “He’s an athletic quarterback. He’s surprisingly fast.” “It has to be everyone having the same mindset which is, “Why did every single one of you guys come here to Ohio State?” It’s to win a championship,” Ingram responded.
