Several provinces in Luzon have been observed to have slight increases in COVID-19 positivity rates over the past week, OCTA Research fellow Guido David said on Monday.
David said that the upticks in positivity rate — or percentage of people who were found positive for COVID-19 among the total number of individuals tested— were found in the provinces of Batangas, Isabela, Tarlac, and Zambales.
The National Capital Region, however, maintained a “low” positivity rate, further dipping from 3.3% to 2.7% during the same period. Total recoveries increased by 269 cases to 4,101,900, while the death toll increased by 10 fatalities to 66,592.
