Pediatric patients at UPMC Children’s Harrisburg hospital took part in a Halloween “Spooktacular” with decorations, costumed UPMC staff, and trick-or-treat bags.
Halloween is here, so nurses, doctors and staff at UPMC Children’s Harrisburg pediatric hospital got together and broke out the costumes, decorations and Halloween-themed gifts for kids who are unable to go trick-or-treating this year.
Pediatric patients circled around the hospital’s playroom, some in costume, visiting the tables and stuffing bags with gifts. “We hosted a ‘Halloween Spooktacular’ today for our pediatric patients. If you’re in the hospital on Halloween, you don’t miss out on the fun of a traditional trick-or-treating event, we do it ‘hospital-style’ here at UPMC Children’s Harrisburg,” said Sandra Schreffler, a child life specialist at the hospital.
