A burst water main has caused the closure of a major road in Greater Manchester, this morning.
A burst water main has caused the closure of the A560 Stockport Road in Timperley, south of Manchester, this morning.
The road is shut between Beeston Avenue and Moss Lane due to flooding. Water company United Utilities is currently at the scene trying to repair the damage. Motorists have been asked to follow a diversionary route onto Woodlands Parkway or Wellington Road, Brook Lane, Grove Lane, Mossgrove Road and Moss Lane. Delays are to be expected especially at peak times.
