UPDATE: Sinar Harian reported that Driftershoots was arrested by the police for climbing Merdeka 118 on 1 May 2022 and charged under Section 457 of the Penal Code on the same day.

The group also cut through some zip ties that were holding up a mesh net which blocked trespassers from going up the stairs. The question still remains whether such daredevil feats should be celebrated when no prior permission was obtained from the building management or authorities.Curiously, the caption used by the Youtubers sounded similar to the one posted on Ivan Beerkus’s Instagram.
