1 lane. A second vehicle stopped on the median shoulder to assist the vehicle involved in the crash. Shortly after, a commercial vehicle collided with the first vehicle, traveled onto the emergency shoulder and rear-ended the vehicle that stopped to help. The driver of the vehicle that stopped to help was outside of the vehicle when it was hit, but both passengers in the vehicle died from their injuries on the scene. UPDATE 6:30 a.m. The westbound lanes of I-10 at Speedway have reopened. The Arizona Department of Public Safety says there were fatalities, but did not provide any more details. ————————A multi-car crash on I-10 westbound at Grant has caused a detour for drivers.According to ADOT, I-10 is now closed westbound at Speedway Boulevard. Traffic going westbound is being diverted to the exit on Speedway for a detour.There is no estimated time to reopen the highway.
