Police have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting Thursday outside the entrance of the San Francisco Powell Street BART station.
San Francisco Police announced the arrest in a tweet at 9:23 a.m. Friday. The department said it would disclose more information later Friday.An arrest has been made in the Powell and Market Street shooting incident that occurred last night at approximately 8:39 PM.
A formal media release will be published soon.Officers responded at around 8:40 p.m. to Hallidie Plaza at Powell and Market Streets and found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police at 415-575-4444.
