Reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) had been identified at the Camphill facility last October.
Works to reinforce the roof of the gym halls at Castlehead High School in Paisley after the discovery of potentially dangerous concrete are "on track" for completion next month.
An update, which will be considered at this Thursday's education and children's services policy board, explained: "Work is ongoing to strengthen the roof above the gym areas at Castlehead High School. The contractor began works in time for the summer holiday period to ensure that disruption is mitigated and the project can move at pace.
Councillor Kenny MacLaren, an SNP representative for Paisley Northwest, said: "I am pleased that the work is progressing well and that the school should have the full use of its gym hall by the end of September. Although it would have been better if all the work was completed before pupils returned to school, it's more important that the work is carried out safely and that the repair is done thoroughly.
