On Wednesday at 2:26 p.m. an updated severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 3 p.m. for Tuscaloosa County.

Updated: Jun. 26, 2024, 2:36 p.m."At 2:25 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over Tuscaloosa Regional Airport or over Northport, moving northeast at 25 mph. A 68 mph wind gust was observed at Tuscaloosa Aiport at 2:20 p.m.," states the weather service. "Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings."
