A trough of low pressure over the Pacific Northwest pushed a mass of chilly air into the Bay Area on Monday.
A temperature gauge at the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa hit a low ofLocations along the coast and bayfront remained in the 40s, and the Half Moon Bay Airport hit a low of"We don’t typically see temperatures this cold in May," weather service meteorologist Brooke Bingaman said."We’ve been about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than normal in some spots."

The North Bay saw some light sprinkles Sunday, and more rain and a thunderstorm or two are possible Monday and Tuesday.
The chance for rain on Monday ranges from 20% to 45% in the North Bay and 15% to 20% in San Francisco, Bingaman said.
