An unpermitted boarding home was shut down Monday in Atascocita and two people have been arrested in connection to it, according to the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office identified 39-year-old Georgia Marie Lovett as one of the people arrested, but did not have information on the second person arrested, who they said “has a probation violation from Colorado.” One resident of the home — which is located in the 7300 block of Lonesome Woods Trail — was transported to Memorial Hermann Northeast, per. Friends or family picked up four other residents, who were also evaluated but didn’t need to be transported for further care, according to the office.
A complaint came in about the home in January and the sheriff’s office and fire marshal’s office responded, trying to work with the owner and inform them about which permits they needed, fire marshal’s office communications director Rachel Neutzler said.
