A man is seen on surveillance stealing a Lamborghini Urus from the Salt Lake City International Airport on Sunday, June 9, 2024 Salt Lake City police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man who was captured on surveillance footage stealing a luxury vehicle - parked, unlocked, with the keys inside - from Salt Lake City International Airport 's short-term parking lot.
According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, the theft happened June 3, though the investigation started on June 9, when the owner of a 2023 blue Lamborghini Urus, valued at approximately $234,000, reported the vehicle missing upon returning from a trip.Surveillance footage shared by SLCPD shows the individual entering the airport's parking garage and checking car doors until he found the unlocked Lamborghini with the keys inside, enabling him to steal the vehicle. Police area asking members of the community to help identify the man. Anyone with information is asked to contact SLCPD at 801-799-3000.
