University students say government's funding body, NSFAS, is trying to save its own skin by introducing a R45,000 annual cap on accommodation allowances.

"How convenient is it that they're now implementing the cap to say it's in the best interest of finding suitable accommodation? "Yet they have not been aware of this issue as it was coming? Because they cannot say it just landed on their faces."
