The University of Waterloo has issued a formal notice to protesters to end an encampment set up on May 13. The school says the encampment has violated at least six university policies.
Following seven weeks of protesting on the University of Waterloo campus over the war in Gaza, members of Occupy UWaterloo informed the school that they will be voluntarily decamping on Sunday at 8 p.m.Occupy UWaterloo says it will end the pro-Palestinian encampment at the university on Sunday at 8 p.m. The encampment has resided on the grassy area beside the Graduate House since May 13.
The student-led group posted a notice on social media on Saturday, saying it's members will not be returning.According to a post by the group on social media, the university is dropping its $1.5-million lawsuit against encampment members
