A University Heights police Lieutenant who was recently arrested for driving under the influence and carrying a weapon is now back to work. On June 7, Todd Kinley was arrested after leaving a concert at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls. Since then, he had been placed on paid administrative leave pending an internal investigation.
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - On Monday, he was reinstated to his position at the police department.
According to Walton’s motion, Deputy John Lombardi muted his audio twice for extended periods of time during his investigation at the scene. Walton contends Lombardi also deactivated the video on his body worn camera while on his way to ― and while at ― the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department, in violation of Summit County Sheriff’s Department policies.
