According to a press release, five fires have broken out at this structure since 2019.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The University Fire Department has once again responded to a blaze at the College Inn building on Fairbanks Street off of Geist Road.
Within the hour, the large fire was under control. However, it took a number of hours to fully extinguish the flames, as the west portion of the building had collapsed.According to Fire Marshal Kyle Green, the fire was massive enough for burning debris to be thrown thousands of feet from the building.
According to a press release on Friday afternoon, five fires have broken out at this structure since 2019.
