A flight from Houston to New York had to be evacuated after an engine issue forced it to abort takeoff, according to the FAA.The FAA says that the crew of United Airlines Flight 1382 had to stop their takeoff from George Bush Intercontinental/ Houston Airport due to a "reported engine issue" around 8:35 a.m. on Sunday.Video acquired by FOX 26 Houston from someone on the plane shows the wing of the United Airlines plane on fire.
"We weren't that high up, I don't think," she said. "It sounded like something flew into the engine or something. scared everyone. That's when we all looked out our window and saw the engine and the wing on fire, and we could smell the smoke inside."Sharp said she was able to keep herself calm until other people started panicking and trying to leave on their own. She also felt worried in light of the deadly plane crashes in D.C.
