The Freedom Seder took place Sunday evening at the Beth El Temple.

The Seder is an interfaith event that commemorates the journey from slavery to freedom for Jews in ancient Egypt and for African-Americans in the United States.

The event celebrates these emancipations while acknowledging the forms of hatred and oppression that persist today, and committing to work against them together. The event featured a meal, singing and Passover rituals as well as discussions on the criminal legal system, educational equity, health care equity, religious bigotry and economic justice.
