As the calendar flips to April, Union Square awakens to the vibrant sights and sounds of spring. The iconic magnolias are blooming, adding splashes of color
to the park’s landscape, and the extended daylight hours beckon visitors to revel in the warmer weather. Union Square Partnership’s Clean Team and Operations Team are hard at work, ensuring the district is primed for the season ahead.
For those eager to enjoy lunch alfresco, the return of the lime green bistro tables is eagerly anticipated. Scheduled to make their comeback in mid-April, these tables will adorn public areas such as the Center Lawn, Broadway Plaza, Union Square Park, and Triangle Plaza. Open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., these outdoor dining spots offer a delightful way to savor the season’s flavors.
As part of its spring rejuvenation efforts, the Union Square Partnership Clean Team is giving the district a facelift, with facilities and resources receiving a fresh coat of paint. Mailboxes, fire hydrants, lampposts, and other street features will gleam with renewed vibrancy, while the pavement undergoes a thorough cleaning to ensure a pristine environment for all.
