A French trade union has called on Ubisoft workers to strike after the company delivered a “worrying” strategic update, with CEO Yves Guillemot accused of shifting the blame for the company’s recent troubles onto employees
In light of these recent events, on Tuesday the Ubisoft Paris section of tech-focused union Solidaires Informatique called on workers to stage a half-day strike on Friday January 27 from 2-6pm.“In his latest statement, Mr. Guillemot announces a worrying future for Ubisoft.
“When Mr. Guillemot speaks of ‘attrition’ and ‘organizational adjustments’, it means: staff reductions, discreet studio closures, salary cuts, disguised layoffs, etc.
