KUCHING: The Unifor Complex will be the hub for Sarawak's Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) activities once it is completed next year, says Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

"Unifor is a manifestation of our inclusive policies to make sure that the interests and welfare of all religions in Sarawak are taken care of," he told reporters during a visit to the project site at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here on Friday .

"The unit's office will be situated here and we are discussing with other non-Islamic if they need office space in this building.""We hope the hall will be an income-generating facility for the Unifor Charitable Trust Board, which owns the complex," he added. According to Uggah, the RM63.6mil project which is fully funded by the state government is currently 3% ahead of schedule at 22.6% completion."We are pleased with the progress. I'm confident that with the good weather, the progress will be ," he said.
