Bail was set at $250,000 for Samuel Junker, 41, at his arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court for the alleged unprovoked assault Tuesday at the Chambers Street station in lower Manhattan.“His only aim from when he entered the subway station was to push the victim on the tracks and escape immediately,” Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Madeline Holbrook asserted.
Junker allegedly followed Wan Xu — a married mother-of-one on her way home after work — from the street to the southbound platform at Chambers Street, where he brazenly shoved Xu onto the tracks, according to prosecutors.
