The deadly accident happened just after 10 p.m. Monday along Interstate 35 South and Benton City Road.
Von Ormy Police and Bexar County Sheriff's deputies believe this person was an undocumented immigrant and was catching a ride on the big rig when he fell. He was likely killed instantly. Police were called out for reports of a man who was run over the truck. His body was found in the back portion of the cab. Authorities believe at some point, the man either lost his grip or somehow fell off the top compartment and onto the wheels.
Deputies questioned the driver and charges could be forthcoming pending the outcome of the investigation.Traffic was stopped in the are for several hours overnight, but has since been reopened for the morning commute.
