An Ohio man suffered a fatal diving accident while diving on a 'newly found shipwreck' in Lake Erie. David VanZandt's body was recovered by authorities on Saturday.
The 70-year-old founder of an underwater explorer nonprofit that documents shipwrecks in Lake Erie and the other Great Lakes died over the weekend while making a trip below the surface. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 70-year-old David Michael VanZandt of Lakewood, Ohio.
