Eagles WRs are ready to shine against Rams.
Some NFL teams involve three or four wide receivers in their passing game. But the Eagles have built their offense around two star wide receivers, so it’s more challenging to utilize other pass catchers.
In August, the Eagles traded a third-round pick for Dotson, who played the first two years of his career with the Washington Commanders, to become their No. 3 wide receiver. “I go out there every single play and give it my all. That’s all I can do. I know my all is better than a lot of other people‘s. … When the ball doesn’t come my way, I can’t get down on myself. I just have to run a spectacular route and hopefully get the ball next time. There are so many plays in a game, you just have to stay in it. If you keep getting yourself sidetracked on, ‘I didn’t get the ball this time.' You’re not going to be ready when the ball does come.
“When they get the first group out there in walkthroughs, I’m sitting back there, and I’m walking through as if I’m in there, too,” Wilson said about his mindset. “Just looking at the plays every chance I get some free time. Putting myself in each position just in case I have to . It’s just a daily, repetitive thing.”
