While many are excited about the potential artificial intelligence has to fundamentally improve working processes, its rapid advancement heralds a transformative shift in building and delivering secure applications. We are living in an AI-driven era that is about more than technological advancement – it represents a fundamental change in how we conceptualize, implement, and manage cybersecurity initiatives.over the last year.
That’s where AI comes in. “Integrating AI technologies and leveraging ML algorithms can improve threat detection, scalability, and operational efficiency,” explains security engineer. “AI can serve as a powerful ally in fortifying defenses against sophisticated cyber-attacks, but it’s just one small piece of the puzzle.”
Engineers have the greatest impact – positive or negative – on the software they develop that ends up in our social media platforms, banking apps, smart doorbells, and even our critical infrastructure. Sentiment across the industry indicates that the number of tools and data sources for developers and security teams alike are overwhelming. The complexity of the cloud combined with the rise of GenAI in software development, both the frameworks that leverage large language models and AI-assisted code, is creating more noise and more backlog for security teams who are already drowning to keep up.
