A 22-month-old girl who died in a house fire is described as the 'light of her parents' life' as her uncle pleads for public help.
The uncle of an infant girl who died in a house fire has remember his niece as "always full of laughter" and the "light of her parents' life".
The 22-month-old girl, identified by her uncle as Harlyn, died in the house fire which broke out in Benboyd Circle, Rokeby, on Hobart's eastern shore on Sunday morning.Harlyn's five-year-old sister, Jordan, was also injured in the fire and remains in a critical condition in the Royal Hobart Hospital."She did the big ears and the generous smile," Mr Steel said."She was the light of her parents' life. She was the light of my life.
"It's absolutely devastating, and our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to all those affected, but particularly the young girl who tragically lost her life last night," Cr Blomeley said. Police said a woman was also hospitalised with a serious, but not life-threatening, laceration to her arm and three other children were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
