PETALING JAYA: Umno Youth exco member Datuk Dr Najmil Faiz Mohamed Aris has withdrawn and apologised for a statement alleging that Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh had made slanderous statements about Islamic leadership in Malaysia.
Yeoh said a consent judgement had been recorded after Najmil withdrew his statement and apologised to her.
On March 20, 2020, Yeoh had voiced her concerns that the National Strategic Plan to handle the cause of underage marriages, which was launched by Pakatan Harapan, would be discontinued after the appointment of PAS MP Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff.
