Adam Adli, Chief of Angkatan Muda Keadilan, calls on UMNO Youth Chief Dr. Akmal Salleh to retract his statement questioning the Royal Pardon granted to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Adli warns that criticism of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's authority could damage public perception of the monarchy and the country's highest law. He emphasizes that Anwar's 2018 pardon was based on principles of justice and followed proper procedures, including consideration by the Pardons Board.
PETALING JAYA: Ketua Pemuda UMNO , Dr. Akmal Salleh digesa untuk menarik semula kenyataan berkaitan pengampunan Diraja membabitkan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim .
Terdahulu, Akmal menerusi hantaran di Facebook mempersoalkan pengampunan Diraja yang diperolehi Perdana Menteri dan sejauh mana proses itu dibawa kepada Lembaga Pengampunan. “Pengurniaan pengampunan bukan dibuat sewenang-wenangnya mengikut desakan politik, tetapi dilindungi mekanisme yang telah ditetapkan undang-undang dan Perlembagaan.
Katanya, Datuk Seri Najib Razak didakwa dan disabitkan kesalahan pada zaman Tun Dr. Mahathir dan dijatuhkan hukuman penjara pada 2022 semasa zaman Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaacob.
